Outdoor Showers Rejuvenate Us

black bikini girl in beach showerOne of the most common ways we take our first outdoor shower is at the beach. You can see from the picture on the right how refreshing it feels.

We go home from the beach feeling refreshed and invigorated. What you may not realize is that you feel rejuvenated because you are interacting with nature. That's why one of the best ways to rejuvenate our spirit is to go into nature. Water happens to be one of natures most healing properties.

We don't all live close to a beach. For many of us, the outdoor pool or occasional trip is our only chance to feel water in nature. There are, however, ways we can still optimize the space that we do have. Installing an outdoor shower is one way to optimize your living space.

Yard Showers

There are two types of yard showers: portable and stationary. There are also two types of installations: wall mount (most popular) or stand alone. We recommend the portable shower for people that live in climates with cold winters to prevent freezing of the shower lines. For warmer climates, we recommend a stationary shower. If you live in a colder winter climate, keep in mind that, you can install a stationary outdoor shower as long as you make sure the plumbing lines drain properly or that plumbing lines are blown out with compressed air in the fall.

Prices

Outdoor showers can cost less than a hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Portable showers can be very inexpensive. The cost rises, as with any construction project, dramatically if you have to run plumbing lines a long way or if you build a fancy outdoor enclosure.
