Skin absorbs chlorine and there is mounting evidence that chlorination adds to circulatory and heart problems.  The hot water in a shower opens up the pores while the chlorine turns into a gas.  The combination of the two will certainly put chlorine into your body.
If you want to see the effect, don’t take a chlorinated shower for a couple of weeks.  Then take a chlorinated shower.  You will immediately notice the chlorine effect.
In one study using chickens, the chlorinated drinking chickens lived only half as long as non chlorinated drinking chickens.  The premature deaths were caused by circulatory and heart problems.
Fortunately for us, we can use a simple device called a shower filter.  It filters out the unwanted pollution with a carbon filter.  The filter is simply installed between the shower head and the shower pipe coming out of the wall.
